What this service is

NOLA Mold Remediation is a referral service. It passes your request to independent mold inspection, testing and remediation companies that serve your area. It is not a mold company or a contractor, and it does not inspect, test, remove, remediate or rebuild anything.

Free, with no obligation

Requesting quotes is free. You are never obligated to hire any company that contacts you. Companies may pay NOLA Mold Remediation to receive requests. That payment does not change what a company charges you, and the site does not rank or endorse companies.

The companies are independent

Companies that contact you are independent businesses, not employees or agents of NOLA Mold Remediation. Any contract for work is between you and the company you choose. The site does not verify licenses, insurance or workmanship and cannot promise that any company is licensed.

• Louisiana requires a Mold Remediation license from the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors (LSLBC) for mold remediation projects of about $7,500 and up (La. R.S. 37:2150.1). Before you sign, look up the company's license on the LSLBC website.
• Get a written contract that shows the license number, the price and insurance certificates.
• Ask for proof of at least $100,000 in liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage.
• Ask for a written report when the work is done.
• In Louisiana, a mold remediation contractor may not also do the mold assessment on the same property, or own the company that does (R.S. 37:2158).

To the fullest extent the law allows, NOLA Mold Remediation and its owner are not liable for the work, prices, advice, conduct, licensing or insurance of any company you contact through the site, or for any loss that results from using the site or relying on its information. Your remedies for a company's work are with that company.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana.

Changes

These terms may be updated, and the date at the top will change when they are. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
